Man Utd Transfer News: Manchester United ready to offer £45 million plus Jesse Lingard to sign Leicester City midfielder

Man Utd Transfer News: Manchester United ready to offer around £45 million plus Jesse Lingard to hire Leicester City star, James Maddison.

Manchester United is back to hire their targets amidst the winter transfer window, with the crises in the squad the Red Devils certainly need to reinforce the squad.

According to a report by the Mirror, Manchester United is ready to sign James Maddison by offering £45 million and Jesse Lingard in compensation for Maddison.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been on Manchester United’s radar since the last transfer window. The English International has gained prominence ever since he got his breakthrough with the Foxes.

However, it seems Leicester City would reject the offer as they highly rate Maddison and in this inflated market, Maddison surely won’t be transferred for such a low fee.

Although Lingard has been reported to be included in this deal but considering his current situation with Manchester United, there is no top club in Europe who can view him as a valuable asset.

Thus, no way Leicester City would be ready to swap Lingard with £45 million for their valuable midfielder who has been a crucial player in their sensational season.

The Red Devils are apparently resigned to the fact that Maddison will not be on the move in January due to Leicester’s fine form.

They are also aware that it may be difficult to sign him in the summer, with the midfielder desperate to play Champions League football as soon as possible.

Manchester United doesn’t seem to end up with a top-4 position by the end of the Premier League, which means they might not get a Champions League beth until they clinch the Europa League title. On the other hand, Leicester City is 2nd in the league and would probably end in the top-4 with the current form.
