Man Utd Transfer News: Manchester United reject Barcelona’s offer to buy flop signing Philippe Coutinho for €100 million.
Thus, Barcelona reportedly offered Coutinho to Manchester United, as the Brazilian International failed to flourish for the Catalan giants even though, he is the most expensive signing ever made by Barcelona.
It is further claimed that Barcelona have asked around €100 million for the 27-year-old star, as the Spanish champions want to partially recover the price they paid for him.
In response, according to a report by the Calciomercato, Manchester United have rejected the offer made by Barcelona to hire Coutinho, as the price asked by him is not justified to his current worth.
On the other hand, Coutinho has also signaled earlier that the midfielder is looking at the prospects outside Barcelona, as he feels that he can do much better away from the Blaugranas.
Although, Manchester United do need reinforcements in the position where Coutinho plays, thus Manchester United would surely find an improvement in the lineup after hiring him.
However, considering Coutinho’s current form with the Blaugranas, any club would deny to invest, an amount so high on him. Additionally, Manchester United have other transfer targets to sign this summer, and considering they are all financially costly signings, the Red Devils surely would not be left with adequate budget to hire Coutinho.
Also, with Coutinho being a former Liverpool player, he would not prefer to make a move to fierce rivals, and infuriate the Reds by making a move to the Old Trafford.
