Man Utd Transfer News: Tottenham ready to capture £88-million Manchester United target

Man Utd Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspurs target Manchester United’s £88-million worth target Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.

Tottenham have joined the race to sing Lyon’s sensational midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The young midfielder is already being targeted by several clubs including domestic rivals Manchester United.

According to a report by L’Equipe that the Lilywhites along with Juventus have made their first bid for Ndombele to sign his services.

It seems that Mauricio Pochettino wants to bolster his squad, in order to increase their performative level ahead of the next season.

However, L’Equipe, as per Metro suggests that both the offers by Juventus and Spurs will be rejected by Lyon, as the French club rates the player much higher than being offered.

In an interview earlier, club president Jean-Michel Aulas explained the terms of hiring the 22-year-old player.

‘I am negotiating with the biggest European clubs for Ndombele,’ Aulas told L’Équipe. ‘I’m the one who revived the PSG talks so that they don’t feel dismissed.

‘I told myself that it was the time to speak to PSG because PSG would win more by operating with French clubs. ‘If PSG aligns with the three offers received and Tanguy agrees, obviously it would be nice if he goes there.’ he further said.

On the other hand, Manchester United need the services of the French midfielder but have kept the negotiations on hold as they have decided to advance the talks with Lyon, once Paul Pogba’s future gets decided.

Nevertheless, Tottenham have to upgrade their offer in order to compete for the personal negotiations with Ndombele amidst interests from the other top clubs.

Whereas, Manchester United have ample financial backin this year as promised by Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward, in order to bolster the squad to compete for the Premier league title next year.
