Manchester United defeated West Ham 2-1 in the Premier League clash as Solskjaer’s side moved up to fifth position in the league.
Paul Pogba scored two goals from penalty kicks as Manchester United moved up to 5th position in the Premier League with a 2-1 win over West Ham.
Solskjaer’s men, however, looked far from convincing as the side was shaky at the back. The Manchester United manager fielded a second-string defence in the absence of Luke Shaw and Ashley Young.
Players like Michail Antonio and Felipe Anderson exploited the lack of experience on the wings, with the latter getting the goal.
However, two rough fouls inside the penalty box on Juan Mata (in the first half) and Anthony Martial (in the second half) led to two penalty kicks, which were coolly converted by Pogba.
With this win, Manchester United have displaced Arsenal at fifth. However, Unai Emery’s side has a game in hand.
How Twitter reacted..
After his penalty, Paul Pogba appeared to give the rest of the team a pep talk. Need to see this out. #mufc pic.twitter.com/zI19arYjkO

Only Luka Milivojevic (10) has scored more goals from penalties in the Premier League this season than Paul Pogba (7).
Though Pogba has *probably* taken the most time in taking them. 😉 pic.twitter.com/oCSsYEFyvB

So much for United’s levelling out. It seemed ridiculous that they were *so good* for start of Solskjaer’s time. Now seems ridiculous they’re *so bad*. Extreme to extreme.

This is just Rojo’s fourth appearance and second start of the season. He has played just 117 minutes in the Premier League #mufc

Thank fuck that’s over. Awful game, but a win. Fred and De Gea maybe the only players that gets a pass from me today, Pogba maybe for the two penalties. Have to work on just about everything really. Not a good game to watch as expected but as said hopefully we improve for Barca.

Didn’t deserve that win at all, only positive was that Fred put in another good performance. Still looked a bit shaky when pressed, but he’s definitely getting up to speed with the physicality and tempo of the Premier League.

Spider-Man to the rescue. Great save from De Gea.
