Manchester City to capture Harry Maguire after drastic transfer step amidst Manchester United interest

Manchester City plans to capture Harry Maguire as they reportedly scheduled a medical for the Manchester United target next week.

Manchester City are reportedly planning to land Harry Maguire this summer, and are confident to hire his services, as according to a report by the Daily Star suggests that Manchester City have scheduled his medical next week.

On the other hand, Manchester United were setting up to accelerate their chase for the English International, as he was their priority target. However, the Red Devils have failed to propose a lucrative offer to the Foxes.

Leicester City are reported to not accept any offer below £75 million, and planning to push it further to £100 million, to make him the costliest defender.

Although, it is further reported that Manchester City are near to complete his signing by agreeing a fee of £65 million. If its true, then it is surprising that Leicester City are ready to accept an offer £10 million less than demanded or in all possibility other variables might be included.

Pep Guardiola is interested in hiring the player from the Foxes, as exit of Vincent Kompany and ageing of Nicolas Otamendi lacks a leadership figure in Manchester City’s defense.

Hence, making him a viable option for the Citizens at the back, as his vocal presence in pitch have influenced Leicester City’s performances this season.

Nevertheless, there are still no concrete reports of Maguire heading to the Etihad stadium, but the rumours are definitely heating up.
