Man Utd transfer News: Harry Maguire makes a massive transfer claim amid Manchester United interest

Man Utd transfer News: Harry Maguire makes a massive transfer claim ahead of transfer window amid interest from Manchester United.

Manchester United have reportedly displayed strong interests for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire as Ole Solskjaer seeks defensive reinforcements this summer.

However, according to a report by the Skysports, Maguire has snubbed interests from Manchester United as he prefers to focus on England ahead of the Nations league finals.

The English International gained prominence after having phenomenal performances for England at last year’s World Cup in Russia. However, Manchester United at that time refused to hire the player after Leicester City demanded a sky-rocketing fee for the player.

Additionally, the Red Devils thought the 26-year-old player needs to give more dynamic performances, in order to justify his price tag.

A year later, Maguire has been phenomenal for the Foxes and Manchester United are at the forefront to sign the player after they observed that expensive investment at the defense worked out for their fierce rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

Considering the quality of Maguire, he can be revelation at a top club with quality players alongside him. Thus, it is worth the gamble.

Although, in an interaction with SkySports, Harry Maguire shunned interests from Manchester United.

“When I’m away with England, I don’t think about anything to do with club football,” said the 26-year-old, when asked about United’s interest.

“As soon as I wear this badge, it’s really important to focus on England and nothing else. I’m fully focused on the two games coming up and that’s where my head is at the moment.”

Hence, upsetting the plans of the Red Devils to land him at Old Trafford. Furthermore, Manchester United are struggling at hiring their priority targets as no significant deal has been made till now, despite the need of several reinforcements.
