Manchester City vs Chelsea match prediction: Eden Hazard predicts the outcome of the Blues visit to the Eithad following the resumption of the Premier League.
Manchester City will host Chelsea after the end of the International break. Frank Lampard are currently on a run of 5 victories in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s side on the other hand are coming off a hard-fought loss to Liverpool.
Regardless of their respective results in their City are still one of the most formidable sides in the world. To play them at their home will be an extremely hard challenge for Frank Lampard’s young side. Especially considering Chelsea were on the receiving end of a 6-0 thrashing in their last visit to the Eithad Stadium.
Eden Hazard backs Chelsea to beat City at Eitihad
If one were to make a Manchester City vs Chelsea vs Chelsea match prediction, many would consider the hosts to be the favourites. However, former Blues superstar Eden Hazard has lent his support to the blues to come out victorious this time around.
While speaking to Sky Sports:
‘Of course, I think so. It’s not going to be easy. It’s hard to play there. ‘Last time we played them we lost 6-0, so bad memories for me and for Chelsea as well.
‘But I think this season they are really good. They are really young, but they are really good, so why not go there and win the game?
‘When I watch them, no Hazard but it’s a party! They can score, they score a lot of goals, the fans are happy, they are third in the league, so it’s going to be a great season. They just need to stay there, win games and that’s it.’
