It was supposed to be the biggest match of the season so far as the two teams leading the league table would battle it out to land a huge blow in the title race.
The fact that these teams were also bitter rivals separated by a few kilometers in Manchester just added fuel to the fire.
But it looks like Manchester City and Manchester United will have to wait before they face each other as heavy snow fall in Manchester could lead to the match being rescheduled to a later date.

The Met office upgraded it’s fear levels from yellow to amber as they were concerned that the heavy snowfall could be hazardous to the safety of the people.
This is what Jose Mourinho had to say about the possibility of the match getting rescheduled to a later date.
“Football is unpredictable, you can try you can try, me as a manager I can try to define a gameplan, to work in a direction but football is unpredictable,” he said.
“We don’t know what can happen, there are so many things that are out of control that can totally transform the direction of the game.
“I wouldn’t risk saying what game we are going to have.”
Football fans all over the world were looking forward to the Manchester Derby and would be disappointed if the match was postponed to a later date.
