Manchester Derby News: Sergio Aguero to miss Manchester United derby

Manchester Derby News: Sergio Aguero reportedly set to miss the match against Manchester United on the 15th game-week of the Premier League.

Sergio Aguero set to miss Manchester derby scheduled on the 15th game-week of the Premier League, in the press conference attended by Pep Guardiola ahead of the champions league match tomorrow, he has informed that the Argentine will be out for few games.

He has not specified the timeline of his recovery but by his words, it is almost confirmed that Aguero is not going to be in the lineups of the Citizens for a while.

“We will miss Sergio. We have had some problems with injuries but we will wait for him and meanwhile, we have [Jesus] and Sterling who can play in that position. We will live without him for a while.” said Guardiola at the press conference.

“He’ll be out for a few games, a few weeks. Exactly I don’t know, it’s his thigh.  He’ll miss the derby.” he further added.

Aguero was subbed off in the last game-week win against Chelsea after the Argentine striker was struggling to continue the game. Meanwhile, the win against the Blues kept the hopes alive of the defending champions of England in the title race.

Credits to the goals scored by Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez, which escaped Manchester City from a defeat from the possibility of a defeat against the Londoners at the Etihad stadium.

Along with the match against Manchester United, Aguero is also set to miss the game against Shakhtar Donetsk, Newcastle United and Burnley. thus, Jesus will probably in charge of the frontline in the upcoming games.

Meanwhile, there Guardiola has not mentioned of Aguero’s availability after the Manchester derby, as crucial games are already lined up in the month of December.
