Manchester United do not hold an interest in Gareth Bale according to the reports.

Gareth Bale found the back of the net during the first match of Zinedine Zidane’s return to Real Madrid, but he is expected to be sold in the forthcoming summer. The Welsh International once revealed that he has not talked with Zidane since the memorable night in Kiev last May.

Various reports say that the 29-year-old will be used by Zidane till the end of the season in order to increase his value. The Real Madrid forward will be turning 30 before the start of the next season which would give a headache for Florentino Perez to recoup the money which he paid for him six years ago.

The 29-year-old has often been linked with a move back to the Premier League over a long time. Manchester United are the club to have been keeping track of the Welsh International, but they have backed out of the race, according to the reports from ESPN.

Despite strong interest from the English outfit when Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho were at the helm, he opted to stay put at Santiago Bernabeu. Before he moved to Real Madrid, David Moyes claimed that the transfer fees have been agreed and a private helicopter was present to pick him up, but he refused to leave for Manchester United.

His time has Madrid has been not great, to say the least. He has scored very important goals for the club, but he has been far too inconsistent which has frustrated Zidane.

The 29-year-old practically single-handedly won Real the Champions League last season as he came off the bench in the final to score twice – including a spectacular bicycle kick – as Liverpool were beaten 3-1 in Kiev.

His agent, Jonathan Barnett, has slammed Bernabeu supporters of late for their treatment and jeering of Bale, especially during a home defeat to Barcelona earlier this month.

Despite the criticism, his agent has said that Bale would like to finish his career at Real Madrid. Barnett added that it was just the playing style which did frustrate his client.

“Gareth wanted to play one way and Zidane wanted him to play another. ‘Over the period of time it just got worse.”

“He wants to play all his career for Real Madrid. If it doesn’t work out, we will talk again,”

“He is very happy. He will talk with Zinedine Zidane and we will go from there. If you let him play how he wants to play, and have a run of games, he can be right up there.” said Gareth Bale’s agent.

The Welsh International was currently under severe criticism when he failed to step up his game to fill Cristiano Ronaldo’s boot at Santiago Bernabeu earlier this season. Bale is still contracted with Real until June 2022, and United won’t be registering their interest, which has delighted fans.

Fans are happy about the prospect of not seeing Gareth Bale in red.

ESPN understands that Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is on the top of Manchester United’s shopping list this summer as they prepare to invest on the youth players.

If Manchester United find their way to finish in the top four, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be handed over the permanent hot seat role at Old Trafford. The Norwegian has already spoken about the necessity to invest in the youth as the club have a long-term vision.

Apart from Jadon Sancho, the club have been admirers of Kalidou Koulibaly and Milan Skriniar. Even though both the defenders will cost a hefty sum, the Red Devils are prepared to pay any amount to solve their defensive crisis.

David De Gea, whose contract expires in 2020 is yet to put pen to paper. The Spanish shot-stopper believes that he should be on the same wage book of his teammate Alexis Sanchez which would make him the highest earner in the Premier League. There is also reported interest from Juventus and Paris Saint Germain.

It will be an interesting summer for Manchester United ahead.
