After the signing of Fred, Manchester United have reportedly bid for another Brazilian player, Anderson Talisca.

Manchester United have acted quickly in the transfer market so far, with the club making two signings within 24 hours yesterday. The club is also linked with Toby Alderweireld, who could potentially be the third signing of the season.

According to reports from Portugal, Manchester United have lodged a bid for Brazilian attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca. The bid is said to be in the region of £35m.

Talisca, as he is commonly known as, has been playing for Besiktas on loan from Benfica for the last two years. This season, he impressed his Turkish club as Talisca scored 20 goals, appearing in 49 games.

However, Manchester United’s bid has been reportedly matched by two unnamed clubs in the Chinese Super League. According to O Jogo, Anderson Talisca may earn far more money in China than he would at Old Trafford.

The report also claims that Italian club AS Roma are also interested in the player, although there has been no formal approach by the club.

In the 2016-17 season, Talisca scored 13 goals in 21 appearances as he played a key role in Besiktas’ successful league campaign. They won the league by a margin of four points that season. However, Besiktas finished fourth in the 2017-18 campaign.

Talisca is a client of Jorge Mendes, who also manages Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho.

Earlier, Manchester United completed the signing of another Brazilian midfielder Fred from Shakhtar Donesk. Yesterday, the club announced the acquisition of Diogo Dalot from FC Porto.
