Mandzukic is currently with Croatia as they play in the final of the World Cup later this evening against France.
The Croatian star scored the winning goal against England to lead his country to the final of the World Cup. So when he was asked about Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus, he clearly wasn’t impressed.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus in a 99.2 million pounds deal last week. The Portuguese winger left Real Madrid after 9 successful years with the club, in which he won four Champions League titles and two La Liga titles, among various other domestic, continental and inter-continental honours.
While the social media went crazy with Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer, with many Real Madrid fans still in shock, Mario Mandzukic is clearly not distracted.
When asked his opinion on the massive transfer, he simply said: “I don’t care about that.”
The Croatian wanted to clearly signify that he is focused on his national duty, and why shouldn’t he? Well yes, he could’ve said, ‘Yeah that’s a big transfer,’ but no.
Nothing gets bigger than a World Cup final.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s unveiling will take place tomorrow, and it is reported that there will be a lot of security, as well as military for the event.
Meanwhile, Croatia meet France in the World Cup final later today. While France beat Belgium, Croatia overcame England in the semifinal of the World Cup. For third place, Eden Hazard inspired Belgium to beat England 2-0.
