Inter Milan’s skipper and Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi assured that he would not break the hearts of the Inter Milan supporters by joining Real Madrid.
Icardi told the media that he would not pick the call if Real Madrid comes calling for him during the transfer window.
The 24-year-old striker has already bagged 15 Serie A goals this season for Inter, with his brace in the 3-1 win over Cagliari on Saturday.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Argentinian replied ‘If I receive a phone call from Real Madrid, I won’t answer’ before he went on to add ‘I do what I have to do on the field and then there are other people who take care of these matters.’
A buyout clause of £98million:
Icardi has a buyout clause of £98million, and only a few clubs in the world have such money to spend on a player. When quizzed further, he added: “You know what I think. There’s nothing to say.”
Even his coach at Inter, Luciano Spalletti, is very confident that the striker would stay at San Siro for seasons to come.
Spalletti, talking to Rai Sports said ‘I work with him every day and I get the impression he loves being with this team, and with his teammates.’ clearly indicating that the striker would not leave this transfer window.
Club Icon for Inter Milan:
In the span of four years at the club, the striker has gone on from another player to becoming a club icon. In the 139 appearances that he has had for Inter, the striker has scored 86 goals.
In just the third season at the club, Icardi was appointed as the skipper for the side. The striker clearly has been in the form of his life as seen in the latest Milan derby where he scored a hattrick becoming the first player since Diego Milito to score a hattrick in Derby Della Madonnina.
