Mercedes troll Ferrari on Twitter

The weekend without F1 can be a pretty drab one, especially now, with the title almost decided.

Drivers and teams are busy recuperating and fans are scouring the Internet for something F1 related to cling on.

This is where the social media teams of all F1 teams come into play. They try and provide us with entertainment and solace, something that all F1 fans are desperate for during non-race weekends.

The Mercedes social media team is doing everything in its power to gift fans with some banter and social media action.

This time they came down hard at Ferrari, trolling them to a certain extent.

The Ferrari social media team had asked its fans to post some images of them cheering for Ferrari, with the best ones to go up on their twitter handle.

A normal, innocuous post from Ferrari, trying to get some fan engagement going on the weekend.

The Mercedes social media team though decided to have some fun of their own, tweeting a picture of the Mercedes engineers looking closely at the Ferrari car, maybe trying to gauge Ferrari’s superior pace during the middle part of the season.

The two teams have had a healthy battle on the track, one that Mercedes are almost certain to win. Now, with respect to the social media battle, here too Mercedes seem to have an edge over Ferrari.

Ferrari will need to up their game on and off the track to pose any sort of threat to Mercedes.
