Arsenal have made a brilliant acquisition in Lacazette, taking care of their striker woes as Giroud wasn’t offering them enough goals upfront. Lacazette is a proven goal scorer but we’ll have to wait and see how he fares in the Premier League.

Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette would make Arsenal’s front 3 a formidable force in Europe(read Europa) but there is still some uncertainty regarding Ozil’s and Sanchez’s future.

While Sanchez hasn’t still committed to Arsenal, Ozil today confirmed that he would be staying at the Emirates next season for sure.

Ozil’s playmaking skills, Sanchez’s drive and Lacazette’s finishing could prove to be a little too much for opponent teams, and hence Arsenal fans can start drooling about next season.

All they have to do right now is keep Sanchez on a leash, and not let him go. Surely, Wenger would be working towards it as Sanchez’s departure could render Lacazette’s move useless, or at least a little less influential.

Sanchez had scored 30 goals for Arsenal last season and was the top scorer. His departure could mean that Wenger will have to look for a winger/striker, which is extremely tough to find in the market as of now.

“It is definitely my preference to stay,” said Ozil.

“It is such a great club and I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal. Once everyone is back in London we will sit down and discuss about the future.”

“For now the most important thing is our pre-season and getting through the tour, training and getting fitness. When I’m back in London, we will sit down and discuss.” Ozil said.

In the same interview, he also spoke about Sanchez and how his departure could affect the club

“It would hit the team quite hard if he left because he’s a player who always delivers.”

“It would be a setback to winning the title, but in the end it’s the player’s decision.” he told Sky Sports
