Mumbai Indians have hinted at including veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh for IPL 2019 final. The southpaw was seen practicing in the nets on the eve of the match. The video of the same has been uploaded by ESPNcricinfo across their social media platforms.
The video witnesses the 37-year old cricketer hone his skills against both fast bowlers and spinners.
After being bought for his base price of INR 1 crore in the auction, Yuvraj had started the season at No. 4 for MI. Having scored a half-century in the first match itself, Yuvraj gave signs of finding form but was benched from the squad after scoring 98 runs in four matches at an average of 24.50 and a strike rate of 130.66.

The likes of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya have batted at No. 4 for Mumbai since them benching Yuvraj Singh. In their last match against Super Kings, Kishan played a vital knock under difficult circumstances to stitch an 80-run partnership alongside Yadav.
With Kishan also having scored a crucial 21 (9) in one of the league matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore, making him sit out of the final will not be an easy call for the Indians. In six matches this season, Kishan has scored 78 runs at an average of 15.60 and a strike rate of 105.40.
Slated to face defending champions Chennai Super Kings for the fourth time in an IPL final, MI would be banking on their better Head-to-Head record against them.
