MI vs CSK Match Prediction

MI vs CSK Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 15th match of IPL 2019.

The 15th match of the ongoing`12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai tomorrow. While Super Kings have won all the three of their matches in IPL 2019 so far, Indians have won one and lost two.

Playing only their second home match, MI would be looking to find consistency for they wouldn’t want to lose too many matches upfront. Despite their tendency to pull up their socks in the second half of the tournament, they should attempt to make sure that that situation never arises.

MI vs CSK – What numbers suggest?

Mumbai Indians might be the only team which has a better overall record against Chennai Super Kings. Out of the 26 matches which both teams have played against each other since IPL 2008, MI have won 14 as compared to CSK’s 12. Out of the 12 matches played in Mumbai, MI have won six as compared to CSK’s five.

Talking of the average runs scored by both the teams against each other, Indians lead Super Kings by 1 runs. While MI score 161 runs per match against CSK, CSK score 160 runs per match against MI. Despite Mumbai outdoing Chennai on the basis of numbers, it won’t be as easy for them to sneak a victory against the defending champions.

MI vs CSK – Paper value

Going by the paper value of both the teams, Mumbai once again better Chennai. One thing which is not reflected on paper and works extremely well for Chennai is the wisdom of their captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The manner in which he brings out the best out of his limited resources is unmatched.

Having said that, in a bid to beat Chennai, Mumbai will have to do something which they haven’t done so far this season, i.e., play according to their potential. If they manage to achieve that in association with the numbers on their side and the crowd backing them, they should put a halt to Chennai’s winning streak.
