This means that Jurgen Klopp will have three players competing to be a guaranteed starter, however, Alisson will be the outright dominator of this position.
Loris Karius is expected to stay at the club despite having a few howlers. This means Simon Mignolet will have to head for the exit door.
The Belgium stopper is now linked with a shocking transfer to Spanish giants Barcelona. This comes as a huge surprise considering that even at the Anfield, Karius managed to dethrone him from the first choice goalkeeping position.
Barcelona are resigned to the fact that they will have to say goodbye to Jasper Cillessen. The Dutch has been in brilliant form whenever he has played for Barcelona, however, Marc Andre Ter-Stegen has outshined him.
The Catalans have been happy with Cillessen’s conduct despite being a second choice keeper. Thus, they are ready to let him move on in his career for a lesser amount. Barcelona will have to sign a goalkeeper who can sit on the bench and play preferably in cup games.
Ernesto Valverde has seemed to have found his replacement for Cillessen in Simon Mignolet. While this news comes as a complete shock, it is also proof that anything is possible in the footballing world.
