Mojang is set to release Minecraft’s next major update pretty soon. There is tons of content within the game that will excite fans and expand the lore of the game further. Mojang gradually revealed all of the features for this update little by little, thus building hype for it.

When Is the Minecraft 1.20 Update Coming? Release Date Breakdown

In the video above, we can see that Vu Bui discusses what will be a part of the next Trails and Tales update. After that, he passes the baton over to Agness Larrson who reveals the release date for the same.  The Trails and Tales update is set to come out on June 7th, 2023. Players can download this update approximately a week from now at the time of writing.

Timings

The timings have not been announced by Mojang as of yet. The company that made Minecraft has never announced a concrete updating time but by looking at the previous release times for big updates we can speculate the timings. In terms of the 1.19 update, the update came out between 8 and 10 pm IST.

Although we recommend checking the installer throughout the day, the update will most likely go live within these time frames. One can use a converter to see how this timing translates locally according to their region.

Features

There are a whole host of new features coming with this update. We are getting a new Cherry Blossom Biome with bright pink cherry leaves and a new type of wood. We are also getting Sniffer and Camel mobs who have their own sets of abilities and uses.

Mojang is finally releasing the Archeology feature which lets players use the new Brush tool to find Pottery Shards through a new block called Suspicious Sand. Players can also make bamboo wood sets by collecting the block. There are Armor trims players can experiment with and so much more.

How to Download the Minecraft 1.20 Update

One can download this update by going to their designated Minecraft Launcher and searching for the newest version of the update. If you are on a handheld device, go to the App Store and click on the Update button on the game’s screen. On the Java edition, find the version list and click on Latest Release.
