The Egyptian striker has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, following his exploits in the Premier League. However, Salah has recently responded to his transfer rumours.

Mohamed Salah has been one of the biggest revelations of Premier League this season. The Egyptian forward led Liverpool to the final of Champions League and the Merseyside club sits at fourth in the Premier League table.

Hence, it came as no surprise when Salah is linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid for this summer’s transfer window. However, this year’s PFA Player of the Year has addressed questions concerning his future at the club.

“I’m very happy here and everything is fine,” Salah said, as quoted by the Mirror. “I have got ambitions for future, with Liverpool,” added the Egyptian.

Salah stressed that he has had a great season with the Merseyside club and that “it is just the beginning.” Talking to the media, Salah said, “We had a great season and we are in the Champions League final, and everyone is excited. It is just the start. This is my first year and it is the same for some other players.”

Mohamed Salah moved to Liverpool from AS Roma last summer and has since scored 31 Premier League goals in 35 appearances. Besides the league, he scored 11 goals in the Champions League, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo.

He won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and the African Footballer of the Year for his exploits at club and international level.

Salah’s statements about his future has relieved the Liverpool fan-base. In January this year, their midfielder Philippe Coutinho left the club for Barcelona. Earlier, Luis Suarez also left Liverpool for the Catalan club in 2014.

Salah’s departure would’ve been the emergence of top players leaving the club for top European clubs. Liverpool are in the final of the Champions League this season and their manager Jurgen Klopp wouldn’t want speculations regarding his star player at this moment.

Liverpool will play Real Madrid on 27 May at Kiev.
