Manchester United team news vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United team news vs Crystal Palace: Jose Mourinho interacted with media ahead of the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Manchester United are currently 8th in the Premier League, with 20 points. After a series of good results, Mourinho’s side slumped to defeat in the final game before the international break to league leaders Manchester City.

United will be desperate to turn the season around, and will aim for a win against Palace and reduce the gap with the top-4 at Old Trafford on Saturday.

In the game against Manchester City, Paul Pogba’s absence left a huge void in the midfield as Guardiola’s side dominated United in a 3-1 win. With injuries to Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford during the international break, the fans feared another setback for the side.

However, Jose Mourinho provided positive news on all fronts as he interacted with the media for the pre-match conference.

Manchester United team news vs Crystal Palace:

The Manchester United manager stated that all of the aforementioned players are fit to play in the game against Palace at Old Trafford.

“Martial stayed with us, he didn’t go to the national team,” Mourinho said. “They were aware of his problems and with their permission he stayed and worked very hard.

“He’s ready for tomorrow and he’s going to play. Is he ready to play three times in a row in the same week? I don’t know, but the most important game is the following.”

Mourinho also talked about Marouane Fellaini, and stated that he’s ready to play.

“Fellaini also stayed. They also left him despite the fact that he played 90 minutes against Manchester City.

“He needed to stay and prepare better after the injury he had just suffered. Marouane is also ready for tomorrow.”

Marcus Rashford picked up a knock during the game against Croatia, but is now fit. Paul Pogba will also return to the side for the game.

“Rashford came back with a little problem, but he’s ready. Lukaku’s ready, a little risk, but he’s ready. Paul knew he would be recovered from that little muscular injury after the truce. We have a huge group of 23 players to choose from tomorrow.”
