MS Dhoni all but confirmed to play CSK’s next match
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni injured himself during the game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Despite the injury, he played a brilliant knock of 79 runs and almost won the game for his team.
However, in the post-match presentation, he said that the injury doesn’t look a major one and he has to be fit for the next games of the season.
Earlier, he missed the training session which raised doubts about his participation in the encounter against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on 20th April. The franchise and the fans already had heartbreak when Suresh Raina ruled out for 2 games due to the calf injury which he sustained during the game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
But now the fans are happy as the participation of MS Dhoni has been confirmed by the franchise.
However, the official Twitter handle of the franchise confirmed the news which by posting a picture of MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina playing shots in nets. CSK captioned the image as, “Dear #WhistlePoduExpress, this is for you! #Yellove #WhistlePodu.”
It seems that 4 days rest worked for the skipper and his return to form with the bat is great news for the team. Moreover, Suresh Raina is also likely to play against RR which will add to batting strength.

CSK is all set to play their first match in their new den, MCA at Pune. Earlier, BCCI shifted the home matches of CSK from Chennai due to political tensions. However, Pune is no new to the CSK skipper as he had played for Rising Pune SuperGiants (RPS) at the same venue in the last couple of years.
Moreover, CSK is expected to get huge support in Pune as a huge number of fans is coming over for tomorrow’s game. The fans are traveling from a special train organized by the CSK officials.
It would be interesting to see how CSK come up with their line-up in the game against RR on 20th April!
