MS Dhoni new bat: Chennai Super Kings captain was recently pictured with a new bat ahead of CSK’s 10th IPL 2019 match.

Indian Premier League defending champions Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is changing his bats at will. While a cricketer of his stature is believed to have contracted with a sponsor, Dhoni has used bats from as many as three different companies this year.

Going by a recent photo posted by Chennai Super Kings across their social media handles, there is a significant hint of renowned company SG becoming the next company whose bat the legendary cricketer will use in the imminent matches.

Earlier contracted with Australia-based company Spartan, Dhoni has given the impression of calling time on that deal.

It is worth mentioning that the news of Dhoni’s partnership with Spartan being at odds had circulated in September last year. Because of the company running in losses, the Indian cricketer was one among several cricketers who had become non-payment victims of Spartan Sports.

Other than Spartan, Dhoni has played with bats of SS and BAS (Beat All Sports) and SS’ Sunridges this year.

Having missed the last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad due to an injury, Dhoni has returned to face Royal Challengers Bangalore at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. After winning the toss, the legendary cricketer had opted to bowl.

“Difficult wicket to defend and also the dew factor. Quite a few areas [to improve]. The last game wasn’t up to the mark, but in a league stage of 14 games, you can have one-off games like that.

“If you don’t put enough runs on the board and the opposition gets off to a good start, then there’s not much you can do. [Dwayne] Bravo comes in so Sam [Billings] and Karn [Sharma] are missing this game,” Dhoni was quoted as saying during the toss.
