Last Sunday, MS Dhoni played a fabulous inning of 79 runs against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Despite his inning, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) failed to win the match. Dhoni was carrying the back injury during his inning and he took a painkiller to get relief from the pain.

The fans wouldn’t have asked anything more from the CSK skipper. CSK lost the match by 4 runs but fans were delighted to see the skipper back into the old colors.

Now, CSK is in Pune as their home matches were shifted from Chennai to Pune because of political tensions. The protesters threw shoes into the stadium which forced the management to shift the home matches out of the city.

CSK have already started training in their new den. But the skipper of the side was missing during the training session. During the post-match presentation, Dhoni said that it was a minor injury and he should be fit for their next games.

However, the bad news is that his absence in the training session has raised many doubts about his participation in the game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday.

The CSK management has not spoken anything about the injury of Dhoni and his participation in the next games. The franchise has already lost Kedar Jadhav due to the injury and Faf Du Plessis fitness is still under check-up.

Meanwhile, the good news for CSK side and fans is that Suresh Raina is back into training. Raina had injured himself during their second game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

He ruled out for 10 days or so and missed the epic game against KXIP. He was seen practicing with the teammates without any issues or discomfort.

CSK has moved to the wicket which doesn’t supports spinner generally. However, spinners has been the strength of the side, it will be interesting to see their line-up in the match against RR on Sunday.
