MS Dhoni will captain Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy
The legendary Indian skipper MS Dhoni will be donning his captain’s hat once again, as Mahi will mostly captain Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2017/18.
With the Indian side playing their test series in South Africa, Dhoni will be available to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy, as Ranchi’s most famous son will be looking to lead his state in the competition.
Dhoni has achieved god like status in Ranchi, as his success story has inspired everyone from that state. Mahi’s incredible journey from a ticket collector to India’s greatest skipper is one of the best success stories you will ever hear, as the keeper batsman has created a legacy that is unlikely to ever be matched.

Dhoni never played for Jharkand during his earlier years, as he represented Bihar those days. The Ranchi man retains deep love for his home town, as he has never shifted out of the city.
In spite of several people asking him to relocate his family to a bigger city, Dhoni has always reiterated that he wants to stay in Ranchi his entire life, as he does not wish to leave his beloved city.
The fact that Dhoni never captained any side during his playing days with Bihar only adds to the excitement of Mahi finally captaining his home state.
In addition to Dhoni, other stars including Kedar Jadhav, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzi Chahal to name a few will participate in the T20 league.
This tournament could also provide a great opportunity for the likes of Ashwin and Jadeja to stake their claim in the limited overs setup, as the experienced duo will want to get back to playing in coloured clothing.
