The Mumbai Indians are off to a great start in this IPL with 4 wins from 6 games. They were lucky to have crossed the line in their last match against KXIP thanks to a Pollard blitzkrieg.
Courtesy this win, they now have won 3 matches on the trot and would fancy themselves to get one more on the roll when they take on the Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium. With it being an afternoon match, dew will hardly play a factor which balances out the contest perfectly.

Top-order
The top order of MI looks settled and does not need to be tampered with at all right now. Quinton de Kock, who started the tournament with a bang, has looked a little subdued off late. However, with the kind of talent he possesses, it is highly unlikely that he doesn’t make the playing XI after scoring 157 runs in 6 matches.
Rohit Sharma is expected to be back in place of Siddhesh Lad who had replaced the resting skipper. Rohit would be fresh and raring to go in this game.
Suryakumar Yadav has looked good in a few matches and has gotten a few starts as well with 138 runs in 6 matches. He would be looking to make a significant impact by playing a big innings at the Wankhede on Saturday.
Middle-order
The middle order has looked weak at times but MI have managed to keep that under the radar by winning the games. Ishan Kishan has scored only 24 runs in 2 matches and this would probably be his last chance to make an impact considering the competition for this spot includes veteran Yuvraj Singh and the impressive Siddhesh Lad as well.

With his 83 off 31 balls, Kieron Pollard has put all doubts to rest with respect to his position in the team. Playing as captain in the previous match, he pulled off an unlikely victory with some deadly blows. He would be expected to keep playing a very important role in the MI middle order.
Krunal Pandya has been able to manage just 92 runs in 6 matches and has been disappointing with the bat. However, due to his all-round capabilities, Krunal would be given a much longer rope.
Having said that, he needs to desperately perform well with both bat and ball and get back into form. His brother, Hardik Pandya has been a fantastic finisher in this IPL and has been responsible for many of their wins. He would love to contribute more with the ball though.
Bowlers
The MI bowling attack looks formidable on paper. However, they do not always turn up with performances in accordance with their capabilities. In Jasprit Bumrah, Mumbai Indians have arguably the best bowler in the world today. His death bowling skills especially make him a huge asset as his yorkers can give nightmares to any batsmen.
Alzarri Joseph has been a revelation with the ball. He managed to secure the best ever figures in IPL on his debut
when he picked up 6/12 in 3.4 overs.
Jason Behrendorff has also impressed one and all. He has picked up 4 wickets in 3 matches at an enviable economy rate of 7.08 runs per over. Rahul Chahar, the leggie, has also been very good and conceded less than a run a ball. The Pandyas round up the bowling attack.
