Recently, Brad Keselowski claimed he wouldn’t pay for Twitter Blue. Later, when a fan told him he is his hero because he refused to pay for the premium features of Twitter, Keselowski made a big statement as he said, “Just can’t rationalize paying for this platform after playing a big role in building it (free of charge) for a number of years.” This statement of Keselowski, along with his stance on not paying for Twitter Blue, was what Denny Hamlin didn’t agree with.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver recently reacted to Keselowski’s bold statements as he rationalized why paying for Twitter Blue is worth it from a business and sponsor perspective. Hamlin also opened up on which publication he likens Twitter to as well as the social media platform he can do without.
Denny Hamlin on why paying for Twitter is worth it
During a recent episode of his podcast show, Hamlin addressed the bold stance and bold statement of Brad Keselowski about him not paying for Twitter and him claiming he helped build the platform.
“He had a big role, it’s what he said, ‘I had a big role in building this app or building this platform.’ And I was just like, ‘That’s a bold statement.’ And then the bold statement was too like, ‘I’m not gonna pay for Twitter,'” Hamlin said.
He continued, “Is it a $100 a year? I think about this in the sense of Rod, like he would say, ‘What makes good business sense? Is it the return on investment, my sponsor proper publicity?”
“Brad, are we really saying it ain’t worth $96 to make sure you’re at the top of the list when things pop up? Would you possibly risk missing out on a sponsor or something like because you just don’t wanna pay $96, you just don’t think it’s right?”
“F**k it. I’m coming for Peacock, FS1, I helped build that platform.”
Hamlin on his preferred social media platform
Further opening up on the subject of Twitter and other social media platforms, Hamlin claimed he likens Twitter to Wall Street Journal. “It’s such a fabulous place for news. Yes, it’s got bots and trolls and evidently some DARFs out there, but man, it’s still such a great news source,” he explained.
“I mean, that’s how I find out about what’s going on in the world.”
Hamlin further opened up on his preferred social media platform as he said, “You tell me you gotta rid of Instagram or Twitter, it’s Instagram for me, out. Because it’s just a picture thing. If we wanna get more followers, just put me in a bathing suit. Evidently, that works.”
This led to his co-host Jared Allen joking they might lose followers, but Hamlin replied one never knows, maybe his followers are into the dad-bod.
