“1 or 2 Seed Don’t Wanna See the 7th or 8th Seed Lakers”: Nick Young Displays Tremendous Confidence in LeBron James and co. Amid Momentum Shift

The Los Angeles Lakers had a shockingly awful start to this campaign. Initially sitting at the bottom-most position in the Western Conference, Darvin Ham’s boys were 2-10 in the first 12 games. However, since then, LeBron James and co. have managed to grab 7 wins in the next 9 outings.

Anthony Davis has to be majorly credited for the Lakers’ momentum shift. In the absence of the King, AD put up surreal numbers and helped the Purple & Gold clinch their first 3-game win streak of the campaign.

After Bron’s return to the lineup, the LA-based franchise has finally started looking as dangerous as they were expected to be.

Nick Young issues a stern warning for the league

After grabbing a huge 128-109 home win over the Portland Trail Blazers, LAL flew to Milwaukee to play their first of a 6-game road trip.

Playing against an in-form Bucks team, led by MVP frontrunner Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Lakers were simply outstanding.

Thanks to the All-Star duo of LeBron (28/11/8) and Davis (44/10/4 & 3 blocks), the Lakers concluded the action-packed thriller with a 133-129 victory.

As soon as the Lakers grabbed their 9th win of the 22-23 season, Nick Young, a former Laker himself, issued a warning to the remaining teams in the league. Stating that a top-seeded team wouldn’t want to face a 7th or 8th-seed Lakers in the postseason, the former NBA champ took it to his Twitter:

NBA Twitter reacts as LeBron James and co. grab a huge win

Winning against the Milwaukee Bucks is pretty huge for the Lakers. While the players and coaching staff were extremely excited, NBA Twitter also blew up with reactions.

Currently, the Lakers hold a 9-12 record and are placed 12th in the West. With LBJ, AD, and the remaining Lakers finding their groove, it won’t be surprising to see the 2020 champs rise up the standings in the next few weeks.
