10 Days After ‘Painful Playoff Exit’ vs Jimmy Butler's Heat, Giannis Antetokounmpo Takes to Instagram To Give an ‘All-Gone’ Message

The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a huge defeat on their homecourt about 10 days ago. Hosting the Miami Heat for Game 5 of the first-round series, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks were outplayed. Jimmy Butler was a monster in the series, and he left his handprints all over that Round 1 win. Since then, Giannis hadn’t really been active on social media until tonight, when he put a story with an ‘All Gone’ message.

Being the best team in the NBA in the regular season, having an MVP Finalist, and three out of the Top-10 DPOY candidates, the Bucks were the favorites for quite a lot of people. However, Jimmy and the Heat had different plans. They became the 5th ever 8th seed to knock out a 1st seed.

It must have been a long 10 days for Giannis, with the Bucks firing Head Coach Mike Budenholzer. He would’ve spent a lot of time with his family to get his mind right, and now he’s back on social media.

Giannis Antetokounmpo shares a cryptic ‘All Gone’ story on Instagram

Not too long ago, Giannis took to his Instagram to share a story with the caption, “All Gone,” followed by a laughing emoji.

From first looks, it may not be as deep as we imagine. Giannis might just be pointing out how his beard is gone and his hair is cut. Comparing the photos from the Miami series and his story, the 2x MVP seemed to have gone a buzz-cut route. He also shaved off his beard and seems to be rocking a ‘Balbo’. While Giannis shaved his hair, Jimmy Butler is rocking his dreadlocks quite nicely.

Another interpretation for the same could be that the period for moping is over. It’s ‘all gone’ and now it’s time for Giannis Antetokounmpo to get back to work. Even though this year ended in a disappointment, as long as Giannis is with the Bucks, expectations will stay high. He knows it, and he will work towards it.

Giannis ‘snapped’ at a reporter after ‘painful playoff exit’

After the Milwaukee Bucks lost, Giannis was asked if he viewed the season as a failure. It prompted a very ‘snappy’ reply from the 2x MVP, who was clearly disappointed by the loss.

“There’s no failure in sports. You know, there’s good days, bad days. Some days you are able to be successful, some days you’re not. Some days it’s your turn, some days it’s not your turn. And that’s what sports is about. You don’t always win; some other team’s gonna win. And this year, somebody else is gonna win. Simple as that.”

This sparked a nation wide, heck, a world wide debate on the same. Many athletes and coaches applauded what Giannis said. On the other hand, quite a few analysts did not agree with Antetokounmpo. While we can’t tell us if the Bucks season was a failure or not, what Giannis put forth was a logical argument, and has good points. He’ll be likely to keep the same in mind and strive harder to make sure no one asks him the same next season.
