Stephen Curry made headlines recently after his exceptional performance on the golf course. Participating in the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Steph had a blast. There were several highlights from his performance, including an incredible hole-in-one. But, golf wasn’t the only thing he excelled at on the course. At one point in time, when he was on his way to the next hole, Curry was handed a basketball, which he shot and sank from a ridiculous range. The clip of the shot went viral. But, in light of it, a video of the Warriors star missing nine half-court shots, with $500,000 on the line has resurfaced.

Steph Curry has been an avid golf fan for years.
He plays constantly during the NBA offseason, invests in Tiger Woods’ new venture, and has his own league for underrepresented youth golfers.

Over the years, three-point shooting has become a staple in the NBA. This is all thanks to the efforts of Steph. Widely regarded as the greatest shooter to ever walk the face of the Earth, he has limitless range. In fact, it’s considered a rarity to see him miss a shot, let alone nine in a row.
Video of Stephen Curry missing nine half-court shots resurfaces two days after he made ‘ridiculous’ shot on golf course
In 2017, Stephen Curry participated in a challenge that could have potentially raised $500,000 for the SagerStrong Foundation. The foundation supports blood cancer research and was initially looking to raise around $130,000. But, during the 2017 All-Star Weekend, with Steph involved, they decided to take things to the next level.
The challenge in question was simple. All the Warriors star had to do was sink a half-court shot. An easy task, especially for someone of Steph’s caliber. After all, his incredible shooting is what has made him an icon in the NBA. So, when he stepped up for the challenge, many assumed things would go smoothly.
But, after confidently stating he would make the shot in three tries, Curry fumbled the bag. Despite $500,000 on the line, the four-time NBA Champion failed to make a single shot. Even after going beyond the originally agreed upon three attempts, and instead attempting nine.
“Hopefully one…but…if your kind enough…I ask…three shots!”
Never forget how Steph fumbled these shots https://t.co/UKLSRGPFoX

It certainly was a rather uncharacteristic performance from Steph’s end. Usually, he’d be swishing threes without a care in the world. But, it just goes to show, that even the greatest to ever do it can have the occasional off day.
Steph is a far better and more accurate shooter than the video makes him out to be
The video definitely puts Stephen Curry in a bad light. But, it is definiely far from the truth. As everyone knows, Steph is the greatest shooter of all time, and has shown this time and time again. There have been numerous times when he has dropped threes from beyond the half court line and many other ones that have been absolutely ridicuolous.
Whether it was his incredible shot against OKC back in 2016 or some of his more recent work, which includes some mind-boggling no-look threes.
He truly is a class apart, and a player who revolutionized the game of basketball. The title of greatest shooter aside, Wardell Stephen Curry II is one of the greatest of all time.
