2 Months After Dubbing Angel Reese the Greatest, ‘Unc’ Shaquille O’Neal Further Hypes Up LSU Star in Front of 30,900,000 Followers

Shaquille O’Neal is considered to be the most dominant big man to set foot on the NBA hardwood. Collecting an MVP, 4 championships, and 3 Finals MVPs, among a long list of impressive accolades, Shaq had a pretty distinguished career. Before his success as a professional, O’Neal attended the Louisiana State University. Unlike many all-time greats, the Big Aristotle wasn’t a one-and-done prospect. Playing for the Tigers for 3 seasons, the big man racked up a magnificent resume. Despite being considered one of the most decorated athletes in school history, the TNT analyst has been hyping Angel Reese up. After the LSU Tigers won the NCAA title a few months ago, “Uncle’ Shaq even crowned Reese with the ‘greatest athlete to come out of LSU’. And the NBA legend’s admiration for the 21-year-old isn’t dying out anytime soon. He further hyped the WNBA prospect by sharing a clip of her meet and greet on his Instagram story for the 30,900,000 followers to see.

The Diesel has a keen interest in the WNBA. Being in personal terms with a majority of players, the Hall-Of-Famer is a huge advocate for women’s basketball. The 7-foot-1 superstar has been cheering Angel on since before the March Madness and displayed all his love for the sophomore following her historic tournament run. Having spent 3 years at the same college, it is safe to say that the 51-year-old shares a special connection with anyone associated with LSU. Further, with his youngest daughter, Me’Arah O’Neal, set to join the Tigers in 2024, we know for a fact that the Lakers legend will dish out many more praises to Reese.

Reese had an unforgettable 2023 NCAA tournament. Winning the Most Outstanding Player honors, the forward averaged a staggering 21.3 points and 15.2 rebounds throughout March Madness. Angel has even been treated like a superstar ever since she led the Tigers to grab their first national title in program history.

Showing some love to LSU’s #10, Shaquille O’Neal, who is pretty active on social media, shared this same post by @espmw on his story. You can take a look at the screenshot in the twee by @NBACelebsUpdate below.

A huge fan of Reese, the 15-time All-Star has expressed a desire of witnessing her on the WNBA hardwood in the coming few years. One of the most skillful players from the class of 2024, several mock draft boards have Angel going as a top 3 pick in next year’s WNBA draft.

Initially rejecting Jill Biden’s idea of a dual invite, Angel hugged the FLOTUS during their White House visit

Following the LSU-Iowa championship game, First Lady Jill Biden proposed the idea of a dual invitation. However, after Reese’s dissatisfaction, the White House visit was eventually only sent out to the LSU Tigers.

While the women’s team was present to meet the President, both Joe and Jill would go on to laud the 2023 champions.

After handing out a custom “FLOTUS” jersey to Jill, Reese and Jill shared a hug.

Entering her junior year, Reese will aim at the 2024 NCAA title and hope to visit the White House again next year.
