Nike announced the release of Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker’s first signature shoe, the Book 1, earlier this year. The bright-colored shoes were recently worn by none other than American rapper Drake at a concert in Phoenix. Currently on tour, the $250,000,000 worth rapper was thrilled after wearing the sneaker which is priced at $150 a pair, according to Hypebeast. The concert was attended by Booker himself and resulted in a wholesome moment between the two.

Drake claimed that he was “flying in” Booker’s sneakers. He obviously wanted to support his NBA friend and claimed that he could not wait until the people “felt them.” Despite being a known Toronto Raptors fan, Drake is close to multiple NBA pliers from different teams and regularly supports them, in his own ways. The concert and the exchange were well covered by Boardroom on Instagram.
Drake claims he was flying while wearing Devin Booker’s shoes
Book 1 has taken inspiration from a range of classic Nike shoes, this includes various Air Jordans, the Kobe Bryant series, and the original Nike Blazer series.
Regardless, the sneaker seems to be especially comfortable, with Drake claiming that he felt as if he was flying. The rapper also shared a hug on stage with Devin Booker, who was among the thousands who had attended his concert:
“Bro, I was out there flying. Wait till the people feel these.”

Drake apparently texted the above to Devin Booker after the concert. The event was held at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Phoenix.
Booker had not only attended the concert because of his love for the rapper. He obviously did not want to miss the event and knew that Drake would be wearing his shoes on stage. The rapper seems to be quite impressed with Book 1 and seemed excited about its release. The Book 1 will be made available worldwide starting from Spring 2024.
Drake gave Devin Booker an exclusive tunnel walk during Phoenix concert
It seems as if the hug that the two shared was the not only wholesome moment they had together from the event. Booker had accompanied Drake to the concert and ended up walking out with the rapper on stage.
What’s more the rapper apparently gave Booker a tunnel walk beforehand as well. While the rapper is extremely popular, there is little doubt that Booker is also a hugely loved figure in Phoenix.
Booker became the second NBA star in a matter of weeks to have been given a tunnel walk. Around 15 days earlier, Drake had meted out similar treatment for another NBA superstar in the form of LeBron James.
