Team USA’s tough losses against Canada and Germany in the FIBA World Cup semi-finals and bronze medal games have ignited a serious debate about the national basketball team. With such humiliating losses on the international stage, LeBron James has promised to participate in the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024. With this announcement, Gilbert Arenas shared a hilarious Instagram post, warning the world of what’s to come when the NBA’s best line-up for Team USA’s roster.

Team USA’s medal-less campaign in the FIBA World Cup has sparked much debate about the nation’s credibility in being the best in the sport. The outrage regarding this is even further igniting, given Noah Lyles’ recent statement ridiculing NBA title winners being called the ‘World Champions.’ With such a crisis in the national team, LeBron James has decided to step up and might bring in a few other All-Stars for the upcoming 2024 Olympics.

Gilbert Arenas warns the world of the Team USA roster including LeBron James for the 2024 Paris Olympics

Gilbert Arenas shared a hilarious post of himself reacting to LeBron James announcing his return to the national team. Like everyone else, Arenas was shocked by Team USA’s medal-less campaign in the FIBA World Cup and knew an All-Star team would help catapult the US’s chances in the international arena to redeem their reputation. Taking subtle digs at Germany and Canada, Arenas amusingly remarked,

“You see what y’all did? Y’all fu**ed up. Bron coming! * laughs hysterically* Y’all celebrating too early, the King coming. He’s bringing all Louis Vuitton luggage yeahh… He bringing all America! We coming in to motherfu**ers and be like ‘What’s happening?’ We gon’ be in the NBA, US of A *laughs * Aye, the American hoopers this year, they gonna be trying to make that team. James Harden will be like *imitates Harden * He gonna be all Houston shit *continues imitating Harden * Cause this Paris, right? He is part of the fashion world. We gonna bring him, Lil Baby, there gonna be some ni**as in Paris!”

While Arenas is all hysterical and excited about what’s to come, he seemed rather disappointed about LeBron James not communicating his decision to him in prior. The former Grizzlies and Orlando Magic point guard was concerned about the skyrocketing prices of tickets that will follow this announcement. Expressing his concern, Arenas added,

“Why you think I’m driving now? Tickets gonna be prolly sky-high since that motherfucker’s gonna be there. He should have told me that he’s going, I’d have already booked my ticket. Now that motherfu**er gonna be like three, four, five thousand [$5000] dollars. So I’m driving now, aye aye I’m already on my way.”

Nevertheless, Gilbert Arenas is all pumped up for what’s to come in the upcoming Olympics. Like he said in the video, even Michael Schumacher coming out cannot save the European and other world teams of Team USA’s brilliance and prowess.

Speculations suggest Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and other NBA All-Stars might join LeBron for the 2024 Olympics

Right after Team USA’s humiliating fourth-place finish in the FIBA World Cup, LeBron James announced his intentions to represent the national team in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Besides this, James is also spearheading league All-Stars and future Hall of Famers such as Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant to join him alongside in this campaign.

On the other hand, Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker, Portland’s Damian Lillard, Sacramento’s De’Aaron Fox, and Mavs’ Kyrie Irving have also expressed their interest in committing to the national team. If all of these were to materialize, perhaps we will see something as close as to the 1992 Dream Team in the next Olympics.
