$75 Million Worth Larry Bird’s 21-year-old Son Once Allegedly Ran Over His ex-Girlfriend and Faced Multiple Charges

Boston Celtics great Larry Bird has a legacy that is prominent for transcending the NBA. The three-time NBA champion was a significant personality in helping define the NBA during a strenuous era for the game.

“Larry Legend’s” stories are spoken about ecstatically to date. His prolific scoring prowess is well-known amongst supporters of the sport. Undoubtedly, an all-time great!

Given that a great many people are aware of his illustrious career and phenomenal technique and skill, there isn’t a lot of noise surrounding the former three-time NBA ‘MVP’s personal life.

While Bird possessed conceivably the foremost superlative skillset during his tenure in the league, he was unsuccessful in transcending those qualities to parenthood.

Conner Bird, the son of Larry Bird, once assaulted his ex-girlfriend!

Almost ten years to the year, reports emerged that a 21-year-old was arrested for allegedly running over his ex-girlfriend. It was later established that the 21-year-old in question was Conner Bird, son of NBA Hall of Famer Larry Bird.

It was stated that Conner Bird also possessed marijuana on him, at the time of the incident. Certainly not the finest hour for the man. Align this with his actions, and boy, did he land himself in trouble.

It’s well worth noting that this wasn’t the first time Bird’s adopted son has enrolled himself into trouble. A past rodeo from 2011 saw Connor be arrested for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.

Although the two incidents are a couple of years apart, the events did display erratic behavior from Conner. One would have seen the theme by then, one would assume.

Larry Bird: A failed father figure?

Bird grew up having had no renowned figure around him. He had to scratch and crawl his way through to the top to attain the worldwide success he has had.

This includes years of professional hardships as well as personal obstacles, which effectively wound up affecting him a great deal. To garner the attention that Bird has had, wasn’t a product of his actions overnight. It came to be, following years of arduous experiences.

Nonetheless, it would be a precise argument that the 12-time NBA ‘All-Star’ has failed at fatherhood.

Anytime someone’s child has been arrested, especially if they possess a famed and celebrated figure as their father, it is indeed reflective of the parent’s lack of attention to their child.

In this case, considering the magnitude of the situation, it is of paramount importance that Bird is held responsible and accountable for the actions of his son.

Not to mention his deteriorating relationship with his daughter, Corrie Bird, from the first marriage. The pair aren’t on speaking terms and have interacted just once about 25 years ago. Not the person one would have imagined Larry Bird to be.
