Victor Wembanyama has been the most hyped prospect entering the NBA since LeBron James. According to what pundits suggest, Wemby is supposed to have an immediate impact on the Spurs franchise and take them back to their old glory days.
So far, the reigning MVP of the French league has not disappointed. After having a poor performance in his Summer League, Wemby blocked out all the doubters and bounced back in style. In the preseason, the #1 pick of the 2023 Draft has been exceptional.
In the Texas side’s first two contests, the Rookie of the Year favorite has erupted for 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks per game. As seen in the video below, moving so smoothly without fumbling the ball and having an extremely high release point, Victor is practically unstoppable to guard.

LeBron James was absolutely spot-on with his comments when he compared the teenager to an alien.
It will be interesting to see the different types of defenses that teams will try and utilize in order to prevent him from going on a scoring rampage. From what the two preseason games suggest, Wembanyama is going to be an entertaining player to watch out for.
