For many basketball fans and NBA pundits, Michael Jordan is the undisputed GOAT of basketball. With five regular-season MVPs, six NBA championships, six NBA finals MVPs, and 23 peats, Jordan has left an unprecedented legacy in the NBA. Over a decade, he remained unchallenged as the best player in basketball in the league. In terms of feats in the NBA, no player has come even close to the Black Jesus. However, when it comes to his grandkids, Jordan is just a grandpa.

Jasmine Jordan is the youngest of MJ’s three kids he had with his first wife, Juanita Vanoy. While speaking of her father, Jasmine revealed that she had no idea why her father was so famous. She admitted that since she had no idea why her father was famous, she had to Google him.
Jasmine Jordan says Michael Jordan is just her father, not an NBA legend
She added that even today, despite knowing her father’s accomplishments, for Jasmine, Jordan is just a normal father and not an NBA legend. She added that it is very unlikely that her kids would be influenced by any of Jordan’s past accomplishments or his being a celebrity. The fact that she has normalized her surname and doesn’t try to put pressure on herself would help her children stay normal with their surnames.
“My child has no idea who his grandfather is. He is four and he is just chilling with his grandpa. By the time he realizes, he is gonna do the same thing I did, probably Google.”
Jasmine expects that since Michael is just a grandpa to her kids, perhaps they will also find out the same way she did, by Googling him. A lot of the credit for normalization goes to Jasmine, who has continued to treat her father like a father. She has also not let her surname add to the family pressure.
