Bronny James is going to start his college basketball career at USC this year as his 38-year-old father, LeBron James, reconsiders his future with the Lakers. The King has been swarmed by the Dallas Mavericks trade rumors since Kyrie Irving tried recruiting him there, to come and play with him and Luka Doncic.

However, Bronny might not want his dad to leave the legendary LA franchise, where Kobe Bryant started and finished his career. The 18-year-old expressed it by sharing a Lakers legend’s story on his Instagram.
Bronny James shares a Kobe Bryant story, which might be a message to LeBron James
Tuesday night, the former Sierra Canyon guard took to Instagram to share a story of The Black Mamba destroying players on the court in his Purple and Gold uniform.
In high school, Bronny and all his teammates once wore Kobe Bryant’s ‘Grinch’ sneakers to honor the 5x NBA champ. So, he might just be honoring Kobe again by sharing a clip that shows how deep the Mamba’s bag was in terms of skills, probably the deepest.
However, it could also be to divert all the attention “LeBron to Mavs” is getting right now.
LeBron to Mavericks would change a lot of things
After Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium broke the news about Kyrie Irving’s attempt to get James to Dallas, the internet was on fire with rumors and possible trade packages between the Mavericks and the Lakers.
Some rumors about Draymond Green joining the trio in Dallas were also making the rounds of the internet. However, there were no reactions from the parties involved. It looks like they still do care about tampering after all.
If it does happen, it will be tough for the James family to live together in their LA mansion, in which LeBron, Savannah, and their 3 kids have been living for 5 years now. Shifting to Dallas might make the King’s title chances stronger, but is surely going to dent his pocket endorsements-wise.
With all that being said, it’ll be interesting to see how this meaty little situation shakes out.
