“Andre Drummond will listen to pitches from Lakers, Knicks, Clippers, Hornets and Celtics”: Former Pistons All-Star linked to several playoff teams after finalizing his buyout with the Cavs
Andre Drummond is working out in Los Angeles but is willing to hear offers from multiple teams after his buyout as per sources.
Andre Drummond was with the Cleveland Cavaliers for a short while during this season. Since then, things have gone a bit awry between the franchise and the player.
Earlier, ahead of one the Cavaliers’ games, Drummond was pulled out of the lineup completely. This was due to the player being included in trade talks by the team.
And while taking him out of the lineup wasn’t a bad move, the timing and fashion of the act has been called disrespectful by many. Since the incident, there has been some major trade news surrounding the player.
Andre Drummond was desperate to get out of Cleveland
It has now become public knowledge that Andre Drummond was not happy with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Speaking on the topic, this is what Terry Pluto of the ‘Plain Dealer’s’ had to say,
“But he knew his playing time (and stats) would be diminished with [Jarrett] Allen now the center of attention…I heard Drummond has been working out in Los Angeles, wanting to go to the Lakers.”
The reporter and analyst further goes on to say that the player is very close to buying out his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. This would make him a free agent, and available to hear pitches from multiple franchises around the NBA.
Of course, the LA Lakers aren’t the only ones going after the star. NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed that multiple teams are going after the player’s signature with this tweet.
Yahoo Sources: Andre Drummond will listen to pitches from the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets.
