“Been congratulated way too many times on winning a championship”: Robin Lopez hilariously talks about how Bucks fans confuse him with his identical brother, Brook Lopez

Robin Lopez claims that a multitude of NBA fans have congratulated him for winning a championship with the Bucks when in reality, he didn’t.

Despite not having won a championship in the 13 years he’s been in the NBA; it seems as though he’s reaping the benefits of having won one as of recent. Lopez’s identical twin brother, Brook, won an NBA title with the Milwaukee Bucks this past 2020-21 season with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading charge as the Finals MVP.

This was Brook Lopez’s deepest Playoff run to date and his first world championship. Make no mistake as even in his 13th season in the league, the former 10th overall pick provided Milwaukee with some integral interior defense and floor spacing. He averaged 13 points in the 2021 postseason while shooting a whopping 66% from within the arc.

As for Robin Lopez, he spent his time on the Washington Wizards last season after having teamed up with his brother on the Bucks a season prior. The Wizards managed to sneak in a single victory against the Sixers in the first round before losing in 5.

Robin Lopez continually gets congratulated for winning a title this season.

Perhaps fans are still reeling from the time when both Lopez brothers were on the Milwaukee Bucks or maybe they genuinely get confused on who’s who between Robin Lopez and Brook, but apparently, the former has been getting treated like an NBA champ this offseason.

When a fan pointed out that Brook is probably bullying Robin about having one ring to his none, the mascot terrorizer himself jumped into the conversation.

He claims to have been bombarded with congratulatory messages ever since the Bucks won the title. So much so that he’s accepted it and now ponders over whether or not he actually won a ring this year.
