Berated By Shaquille O’Neal For His 290lb Physique, Charles Barkley Gets “Sloppiest Sandwich” Namesake From Shaq’s Multi Million Dollar Franchise
If you only knew Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal from the 1990s, you knew them as the worst of enemies. But if you know Barkley and Shaq now, they are perhaps the best friendship duo on television. The on-screen back-and-forth between the two NBA legends is a goal-setter for the best of friends. However, both do not shy away from nagging and teasing each other on screen. Shaq took the teasing to another level when he named one of the sandwiches in his Big Chicken franchise, “Charles Barkley Chicken Sandwich.”

In one of the “Impulsive” podcasts with Logan Paul, O’Neal did not hold back while he called out Barkley. Giving the reason for his new regimen, the Big Aristotle said that he saw himself getting bigger and bigger every day and that he needed the motivation to get in shape. He used Charles Barkley’s body to motivate himself.
Shaq said that while looking at himself, he felt that he had the Charles Barkley retirement body. He didn’t want his stomach to be over the belt anymore so, the Lakers star decided to get fit.
However, Chuck is all ready to give his answer to his friend. He has been hitting the gym and has decreased his weight from 340 lbs to 290 lbs. He is motivated and looks younger than before. But that didn’t stop Shaq from taking a dig at Barkley.
Shaquille O’Neal names the sloppiest sandwich in his company after Charles Barkley
During the opening of one of his Big Chicken stores in Houston, Shaq named the sloppiest burger that his multi-million dollar food franchise has. The former Lakers star, talking to Houston Life, said that the Charles Barkley Sandwich is the sloppiest sandwich that he has in his outlets. Although Shaq has self-proclaimed that it is the sloppiest sandwich ever, his face clearly looked like he was loving the opportunity to roast his friend on TV. Chuck is known for his love of Krispy Kreme, and he is often seen eating on set.
Despite making fun of his friend, Shaq has constantly said that he considers Barkley as his elder brother. He mentioned that their mothers are best friends, recalling an incident when Chuck’s mother called Shaq and warned him against hitting her son.
Shaq’s food outlet was shut down by a fire marshal in Houston
Shaq is among the most successful athletes-turned businessmen in the country. He has used his hard-earned money strategically to make an umpire for himself. With over $400 million in assets, he has established himself as one of the richest athletes. Recently, he opened his Big Chicken franchise in Houston, which apparently led the fire marshal to shut down the restaurant.
Later, Shaq, on his social media, boasted the news and implied with the picture that it was due to overcrowding by the customer and the place was shut down for public safety. It might be true that the crowd flooded the outlet, but perhaps the popularity of the Big Chicken franchise is also because of Shaq’s name.
