Ayesha Curry has been a household name in America since her husband Stephen Curry started swishing threes in the NBA Finals for the Golden State Warriors. However, the 34-year-old seems to be slowly building an identity of her own, establishing herself as an ace businesswoman through her numerous lucrative ventures. Her latest W in the field of business came in the form of a lucrative deal involving a $58.2 billion company, which is set to surge her $20 million net worth. One of the largest wine companies in the country, Constellation Brands reportedly announced on Friday that they will be acquiring Domaine Curry, a brand started by Ayesha Curry and Stephen Curry’s sister, Sydel Curry-Lee. Curry shared the news on her Instagram stories recently.

The Currys have always stressed the importance of teaching gender equality to the next generation. Therefore, Ayesha Curry has taken up the task to set an example for her kids, especially her daughters Riley and Ryan. She started the Domaine Curry brand with Sydel Curry-Lee in 2018 when she was pregnant with son Canon.

Ayesha Curry posted a series of stories informing her fans of the sale of her winery. The stories featured reports of the purchase from different media sources. Curry seemed elated about the deal, and quite deservedly so. “Sydel Curry-Lee and I did a thing. [Blessed emoji] feeling blessed and excited,” she captioned one of the slides.

According to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle, “The Domaine Curry brand will now be nestled within the Prisoner Wine Co. umbrella[owned by Constellation], which includes the brands the Prisoner, Saldo, Blindfold and Unshackled. Going forward, Domaine Curry wines will be produced by the Prisoner’s winemaker Chrissy Wittman, served at its tasting room in St. Helena and sold to its mailing list.”

Curry and Curry-Lee had been reportedly engaged in negotiations with Constellation since December of last year, as per Bukky Ekundayo, the Prisoner’s vice president and general manager. The former owners will remain involved in creative aspects of the brand, Ekundayo informed SF Chronicle. The price of the purchase has not been revealed to the public.

Ayesha Curry’s business ventures

Ayesha Curry has really accelerated her business journey in the past few years. Starting off as an aspiring actress and a cookbook author, Curry soon became a familiar face on Food Network. In 2020, she started her product line named Sweet July, which has since then, expanded into a production company. Meanwhile, her NBA superstar husband Stephen Curry is not one to be left behind despite his busy NBA schedule. The Dubs guard recently announced the launch of his fine-aged bourbon brand.
