Amidst LeBron James’ Dallas Trade Rumors, Son Bronny James Shares Kobe Bryant Highlights on IG

Bronny James’s draft stock has been surging off late and with good reason. After being a bit stagnant for a while, LeBron James’s elder son has shown some incredible improvement during the last year. And now, many even project him to be a lottery pick in the 2024 NBA draft.

As you’d expect, the attention he has been receiving, in general, has been on the rise as well. And the same has been true for his high-school team, Sierra Canyon. And with all the hype behind them, they even beat former state champions, Taft, in the first round of the playoffs.

It was a game that received quite a bit of attention from across the world. And it appears that amid all that congratulation, the team themselves decided to celebrate it just a tad bit too.

Bronny James and all his Sierra Canyon teammates decide to rock the Nike Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ in their next game

Given that Nike’s situation with the Kobe Bryant line has remained murky at best, we’re pretty sure it’s next to impossible to get any Kobe 6 Protros right now, never mind any in the ‘Grinch’ colorway.

And yet, as a recent clip revealed, each and every member of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers had just those shoes on, ahead of their most recent basketball game. Take a look at the clip in the tweet below.

Given that LeBron James is the face of Nike basketball, we’d say he had a little something to do with it. But then again, that does remain unconfirmed. More than anything else, this seems to be a good way to celebrate themselves and Kobe Bryant with the same, thoughtful gesture.

Is Nike bringing back the Kobe Bryant line?

The Nike Kobe Protro line has been beyond successful in the past few years. Essentially, this line focuses on all of Kobe Bryant’s signature sneakers with Nike, simply modernizing certain elements of it to make them more suitable to the game today.

But, due to the tragic death of Bryant in 2020, and a massive family controversy soon after, a pause was placed on the production of the line for some time. However, things have since changed.

After much deliberation, Nike recently decided to bring back the Kobe 8 Protros, with the beloved sneaker releasing in the fall of 2023. An exciting proposition for any fan of the NBA or of sneakers in general. The people certainly won’t hate Nike for this one.
