"Coach Kerr is Coaching Like He Should!": Stephen Curry Defends Warriors' HC for Snapping at Jordan Poole During 120-114 Road Win

The Golden State Warriors took on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight for the fifth and final game of their road trip. For the first time this season, the defending champions ended a road trip with a winning record, going 3-2 on this trip. Playing without Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors surprised everyone with a 120-114 win.

Jordan Poole led the effort for the Warriors, scoring 32 points. Five other Warriors scored in double digits, as it was a team win over the Cavaliers. Jonathan Kuminga and JaMychal Green had successful games back after missing quite some time.

During the game, there was a sequence to end the 3rd quarter, which led to Steve Kerr yelling at Jordan Poole.

Stephen Curry defends Head Coach, praises Jordan Poole

As always, the Instagram pages were quick to jump on the clip of Head Coach Steve Kerr snapping at Jordan Poole. House of Highlights shared a post with the caption,

“Steve Kerr had some choice words for Poole after his technical foul. 😳”

Stephen Curry saw this post, and didn’t really appreciate the way the page had portrayed the incident. He commented and said,

“Hey for all the kids watching this clip…Coach Kerr coaching like he should. JP taking the energy the right way. Both of them move on to try and win the game!!! @houseofhighlights Make sure you show how @jordan_poole bounced back after this.”

After the incident, Poole played the entire 4th quarter and was much more careful with the ball. He scored six points and grabbed two rebounds, helping the Warriors secure the win. It’s a great move on Steph’s part to share how things actually went down, instead of letting rumors spread about his team.

Steve Kerr won’t go easy on Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole was drafted in 2019 and is playing his 4th season in the NBA. He’s only 23 years old and has been showing signs of being an excellent player. However, there are times he messes up, and Coach Kerr is right there to call him out on the same.

Even Poole acknowledged where he went wrong and why he responded the way he did.

Hopefully JP can learn how to be better with the referees soon enough, or else the way Ts have been flying, he’ll catch a stray few quite often.
