“Congrats AD!”- Danny Green accidentally reveals where Anthony Davis will sign his next contract
Danny Green accidentally took to Instagram to reveal where Anthony Davis will sign next.
Amidst the Lakers signing Sixth Man of the Year nominees Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder, the Lakers were intent on re-signing their superstar big man.
Anthony Davis was the 1B to LeBron James’s 1A throughout the entirety of last season, helping the Los Angeles Lakers to claim the 2020 NBA championship. Now, Davis is looking for the massive pay-day he deserves.
He opted out of his player option this past week to become a restricted free agent. Though it was heavily speculated that AD would return to the Lakers, nothing was set in concrete.
It was reported that Anthony Davis would take his time to assess his free agency, and not rush into a new contract. However, Danny Green pretty much spilled the beans on AD’s plans on Instagram.
Danny Green lets everyone know where Anthony Davis will sign his next contract.
The former Lakers sharpshooter is evidently still close with his teammates from last season, as Green took to Instagram to let everyone know where Davis would land last season.
On his Instagram story, Danny Green posted a picture of ‘the Brow’ with the caption, “He like that! Congrats AD!”
Danny Green posts this on his IG story and then deletes it. 🤔

This story could mean only one thing and that’s that Davis has confirmed his max contract with the Lakers behind closed doors. This is of course a major slip up from the Sixers guard, as the Lakers haven’t made this news public yet.
What will Anthony Davis’s contract look like?
Davis deserves to be paid the max contract with no doubt in mind. He will most probably be offered a 4 year/$140 million deal, with a player option in the last year of his contract.

The contract will most probably be backloaded too, as the Lakers have an immense amount of faith in Davis.
