LeBron James lauds Chris Paul

Banana boat crew members LeBron James and Chris Paul have always had brotherly love for each other. James was elated with CP3’s performance against the Rockets.

The Oklahoma City Thunder hung on to win Game 6 despite trailing for much of the last 6 minutes of the game. On a poor shooting night for both teams and one in which not many fouls were awarded, the Rockets were let down by a Russell Westbrook turnover in the closing stages of the game.

LeBron James congratulates Chris Paul for a clutch performance

With the Lakers scheduled to play the winners of this series, all of their focus will be on studying their possible Conference semis opponents. It was only natural that LeBron James would watch this game. His friend Chris Paul finished the game with 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting, making 3 out of his 6 3-pointers and converting all of his free throw attempts.

This was a vintage CP3 performance no doubt, and it puts the Thunder in position to either advance to the Conference semifinals or test the Rockets to the limit. Both outcomes will be readily welcomed by the Lakers, who are cooling their heels after a 5-game first round series win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Thunder started this season on an even footing due to Russell Westbrook’s injury troubles. The Brody has not been his usual self after his comeback, understandably. He looks off the game pace and is not his usual disruptive self even on the defensive end.

Westbrook ended the game with figures of 17 points and 3 assists in 27 minutes of game time, but he cost his team dearly with 7 turnovers.
