Despite Siding with LeBron James’ Sports Agency, $30 Million Jalen Hurts Proclaims Michael Jordan His Hero
Jalen Hurts recently signed the biggest deal in NFL history with the Philadelphia Eagles. A deal that goes up to a whopping $255 million with $179 million guaranteed. And, it’s all thanks to his agents at Klutch Sports. However, despite sharing the same agency as LeBron James, Hurts is a huge admirer of Michael Jordan.
The GOAT debate in the NBA is one that has been raging on for quite a while. There are those who favor MJ, and there are those who favor The King. It looks like a conclusion to this debate will not come anytime soon.
Nevertheless, it is nice to hear people’s preferences. And, for Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, the GOAT is none other than Jordan. Something that might not sit well with the folks back at Klutch Sports.
Jalen Hurts admires Michael Jordan despite being signed to LeBron James’ Klutch Sports
Having been formed in 2012, Klutch Sports is one of the biggest sports agencies in the USA. While it is known for its elite basketball division that includes LeBron James, Klutch has also slowly been expanding its NFL division. And, recently they made quite a splash.
The agents at Klutch managed to secure a huge deal for Jalen Hurts. A deal that makes him the highest-paid QB in the league. But, despite receiving a deal of a lifetime from The King’s agency, Hurts remains unbiased in his opinions. And, when it comes to choosing his NBA GOAT, Michael Jordan is his answer.
Speaking to The Athletic, Jalen was asked about a poster of Jordan he has in his locker, to which he replied that he admires His Airness. He further praised Jordan for his transcendent style of play, claiming he had abilities that were way before his time.
“I think MJ, along with Muhammad Ali, is one of the most transcendent, rare type of guys that have played sports. His ability was before his time. He was a relentless competitor, who overcame adversities. He just had an aura to himself. I’ve always admired that.”

Hurts made that statement prior to playing in the Super Bowl. And, while he is entitled to his own opinion, it may have ruffled a few feathers with LeBron James. Who, like Jalen is represented by Klutch Sports. Although, it pretty much feels like he is the owner.
The NBA once investigated LeBron for having a possible stake in Klutch Sports
Jalen Hurts may have signed with Klutch Sports recently, but LeBron James’ history with the agency runs deep. The King is perhaps the marquee client for Klutch and has been friends with the company’s founder Rich Paul since 2003. The two got close after James saw Paul at an airport rocking a throwback Warren Moon Houston Oilers jersey.
However, given how close the two are, many questioned whether or not Bron has a stake in the agency. Well, the NBA investigated the matter and found no evidence suggesting he does.

It’s a good thing he doesn’t, otherwise, that could lead to some serious issues. But, who’s to say he won’t take a bite after all is said and done with his NBA career?
