Chris Paul says that being chosen to be an All-Star this season was bittersweet for him because he wanted to see Devin Booker make it.

With the NBA currently allowing merely 14 roster spots to make up the All-star team from each conference, there are bound to be multiple stars that get ‘snubbed’ from receiving an All-Star nod. However, there is always one star player that necessitates an outcry from fans that is heard all across the NBA.
Back in 2017, it was Damian Lillard and in 2020, it was Bradley Beal. This season’s scapegoat for being the player that deserved to be an All-Star is seemingly Devin Booker. The Phoenix Suns has been an offensive savant since he’s entered league and has had some monster stat lines on that end of the floor.
The main gripe with Devin Booker and his potential presence in an All-Star Game was the fact that though he was undoubtedly an incredible player, he did not lead the Suns to winning seasons. Well, the Suns are currently 4th in the loaded West and Booker is yet to make his first All-Star team.
Chris Paul reacts to Devin Booker not making an All-Star team.
On the flipside, Booker’s partner in crime, Chris Paul, will be flying to Atlanta to take part in his 11th All-Star Game. Paul is just as important as Devin Booker when it comes to the Suns offense. He is certainly deserving of the All-Star nod but CP3 seems to not be enjoying his inclusion in the team.
“Probably the most bittersweet of them all cause Book is an All-Star. It’s not taking away from any of the guys that were named All-Stars but our team, we go as Book goes.”

The general consensus around the NBA community has been that Devin Booker was snubbed from the All-Star Game. Dwyane Wade even took to NBAonTNT to say that he believes if given the chance, Chris Paul would gladly give up his place in the ASG for Devin Booker.
Damn @DevinBook really didn’t make it ? That’s craxy . Bruh really cold too smh. Sick world

Don’t get mad Devin Booker, get EVEN!! Make a hit list, put all the West Coaches and their teams on it! And if I’m @CP3, take on the role of Drew “Bundini” Brown, be in his ear before every game saying “I bet he didn’t vote for you either”. Fireworks are coming, I’m popcorn ready

A silver lining to this all, well at least for Devin Booker, would be that he still has a chance to make it. With Anthony Davis still on the mend from a right calf strain, he will likely not be able to participate come All-Star weekend. Booker could be named as an All-Star reserve in place of the Lakers big man.
