“Don’t be a F***ing Crybaby”: Kevin Durant Got a Vulgar and Rude Awakening from Kobe Bryant
2019 was a hard year for Kevin Durant. While he made it to the NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors, things did not end like he would have wanted them to.
While the Dubs were favorites to win, they suffered a huge blow in Game 5. Unfortunately for the Warriors and KD, he ruptured his Achilles tendon, essentially putting an end to the Warriors’ three-peat push.
It was heartbreaking, especially for the Slim Reaper who was out for the entirety of the next season. But, in all the commotion, Kobe Bryant had the best advice. Stop being a crybaby.

Kobe Bryant told Kevin Durant to stop being a crybaby after he returned his Achilles tendon
Following his horrific injury in 2019, Kevin Durant made a huge move swapping San Francisco for Brooklyn. However, his new team wasn’t his major concern. Rather, he was more focused on rehabilitating.
That being said, he received his first dose of treatment in the immediate aftermath of Game 5 in the NBA Finals. How? Well, Kobe Bryant texted KD some simple advice. Stop crying.
Durant relayed the Black Mamba’s advice to The Athletic’s Alex Schiffer.
When Kevin Durant tore his Achilles, he received an encouraging text from Kobe Bryant, who tore his in 2013.
The message? “Don’t be a f—ing crybaby. It’s going to be all right.”

Incredible advice from Kobe, and an extremely hilarious way to put it too. After all, he himself had suffered his own Achilles injury that sidelined his career in 2013.
Luckily, Durant came back stronger than ever with Bryant’s advice and is now playing at an MVP level with the Nets.
KD is playing at an MVP level as the Brooklyn Nets push for a championship
Earlier this year, the Kevin Durant move was looking horrendous for the Brooklyn Nets. Kyrie Irving was a problem, and Durant, being tired of it all, was desperate to get out of this situation.
However, things have been looking good of late. KD and Kyrie are working well together, with the Slim Reaper playing some exceptional basketball. As things stand, it looks as though the Nets could make a championship run.
