“Don’t Have Giannis Antetokounmpo In My Top 5”: Shaquille O’Neal and Candace Parker Have Contrary Opinions About the Greek Freak

There is no denying that Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the world currently. Leading the Milwaukee Bucks to their first NBA championship in over 50 years, at age 28, the Greek Freak has earned all possible accolades.

A long list of Giannis’ achievements includes the 2017 MIP, 2 MVPs, a DPOY, and a Finals MVP. The European was even named as a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team last year and will definitely be enshrined into the Hall Of Fame once all is said and done.

Comparing him to all-time great forwards such as Karl Malone, Kevin Garnett, and Charles Barkley is not absurd. One can even mention him on the top 5 all-time power forward list. However, Candace Parker took things up a notch and listed Antetokounmpo in her all-time top 5.

Shaquille O’Neal and Candace Parker have contradicting opinions on Giannis’ inclusion in any all-time top 5 lists

On the recent TNT Postgame Show, the 2-time WNBA MVP stated that the Bucks’ leader has “transcended” the way the sport is played. Further, saying that the 6-time All-Star will be in her top 5 list once he decides to hang up his boots, the WNBA legend said:

“Giannis, when it’s all said and done, is in my top 5. I think he is transcended the way the game is played and I think he is top 5.”

Shaquille O’Neal, who has admitted to love Giannis, kindly disagreed with Parker. The Diesel took on to a different tangent and stated that he didn’t have Giannis’ name in his current all-time players list.

“Giannis is the man. I’m not gonna argue with the lovely Candace Parker because she said Giannis is top 5. She said he’s top 5, I don’t have him in my top 5, but I’m not discrediting him.”

Giannis has a lot of time before he retires. Realistically, Antetokounmpo has about 7-8 years more to keep adding more accolades to his trophy cabinet.

Despite falling down to the #5 rank on the latest MVP Ladder, the 7-footer is having an incredible season.

Having played 34 games, the 5-time All-Defensive player has managed to put up 31.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists so far this season.

While the likes of Joe Ingles, Jrue Holiday, and Bobby Portis have been doing their job exceptionally well, Antetokounmpo’s contributions have been the main reason behind the Bucks being 26-14 and 3rd in the East.
