When Draymond Green got into a war of words with pop singer Fergie and her husband in 2018, Kevin Durant and co came to the rescue.

Fergie had dropped one of the most infamous renditions of the USA’s national anthem at the 2018 All-Star Game. Her unusual performance received criticism from many quarters – including a sizeable faction of NBA fans.
As Fergie went on with her rendition, cameras panned to Draymond Green on Team Steph at the Game. The 2016-17 NBA Defensive Player of the Year couldn’t help but showcase a chuckle at the time.
One would’ve thought that this would be the end of the embarrassment for the Black Eyed Peas singer. However, her husband brought it to the forefront about 8 months after the incident on national TV.
“I was (angry) at Draymond Green, first of all, I think he owed her an apology. I think he was kind of an (expletive).(Green) knew the camera was on him, and he snickered.”
“I just thought if he had been a real man, he would have at least called her and said, ‘Listen, I’m sorry that I caused all this.’ That’s what a real man would have done, in my opinion.”
Draymond isn’t the type to take unwarranted slander like this lying down. After all, if you examine the footage, at least 17 of the All-Stars on the floor at that moment were clearly taken aback by Fergie’s remixed version.
Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and other Warriors danced to Fergie’s remix in the locker room
The Warriors were in the locker room after a home win against the basement Knicks in October 2018. Draymond decided to snatch a meaningless narrative away from his critics and put an end to the bitterness.
He initiated a dance in the Warriors’ locker room with Fergie’s remixed national anthem playing in the background. You can take a look at the Warriors having some great fun in the tweet below.

Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson behaved like great veterans, joining in with the youngsters. Alfonso McKinzie and Jordan Bell were absolutely on a roll in the aforementioned video.
Draymond shared this video to his social media with the hashtag #BeARealMan. It was his manner of apology and how he brought publicity to Fergie that changed her opinion of the DPOY.
